I just have to say that I have an enormous amount of respect for the all the riders in this race. I went for a 34 mile ride today with some tough hills and managed an average of 16.8 miles per hour. These guys are traveling at a sickening pace of 23 miles per hour in the freakin' mountains! They are upwards of 40 mph in the final sprints at the end of the flatter stages. While the tour has had many shakeups this year I am more interested in cycling than ever and am glued to Versus channel every night. With that said...I have never seen so many ads for bare-fisted boxing in my life!
