Five Reasons why I am a D...O...R...K...dork.

You know it's good to peel back the layers sometimes. Here are a few doozies that may not be common knowledge...well at least before you read any further.

1. I love the scene in "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"...right around one hour in where Arthur, Ford and Zaphod are on the Vogon planet and getting slapped in the face every time they had an idea or a thought. The inane silliness of this is one of those things that just keep me going from day to day with some semblance of a smile.

2. I laugh out loud at silly simple jokes like this:

A duck goes into a shoe store and asks the salesperson "Got any grapes?" The salesperson says, "No. This is a shoe store and we don't sell grapes." The duck leaves.

The next day, the duck goes back to the shoe store and asks, "Got any grapes?" The salesperson says, "I told you yesterday. This is a shoe store and we don't sell grapes."

The following day, the duck returns and asks,"Got any grapes?" The salesperson loses it. He grabs the duck by the neck, and yells, "I already told you twice! This is a shoe store! I don't have any grapes! If you ask me again, I'll nail your webbed feet to the floor!"

The next day, the duck goes in the shoe store and asks, "Got any nails?" The salesperson sighs and says, "No, we don't have any nails." The duck says, "Got any grapes?"

3. I find websites like Lifehacker and 43folders strangely comforting. This is especially funny because I feel like I am one of the least productive people around and definitely the least equipped to maintain an organization system of any kind at all.

4. I used to work at the Science Reference desk at WMU...for four years.

5. I have a Han Solo mug on my desk in my office. I know...you're totally jealous aren't you.
